National School Counselor Week

February 3-7 is National School Counselor Week. The Randolph County School System is grateful for our school counselors. Here are a few RCSS facts:

1. RCSS school counselors help students discover their interests and abilities and set them up for success in school and beyond.

2. RCSS school counselors frequently work in collaboration with parents to ensure students are able to access their education.  RCSS counselors have had over 400 parent contacts this year.

3. RCSS school counselors provide tailored services to students, including individual and group counseling, academic planning and classroom guidance lessons.  So far this year RCSS counselors have had over 3,000 individual sessions, 135 group sessions, over 2,000 classroom guidance lessons and over 1500 academic planning sessions.

4. RCSS school counselors serve on MTSS teams, School Leadership Teams, and work with staff on a daily basis to help their students.
