On Thursday, April 3, Danny Craig was honored as the 2025 Archdale Trinity Youth of the Year! A couple of weeks ago, the staff of Wheatmore High School was asked to share one or two words that described Danny. Here's what they shared:
If you were to ask the teachers and administrators at Wheatmore High School which student truly embodies what it means to be a Warrior, one name would undoubtedly rise to the top: Danny Craig. You’d likely hear words like respectful, focused, consistent, empathetic, and relentless used to describe him. One teacher even said, “If we had classrooms full of Danny Craigs, there wouldn’t be a teacher shortage in America.” Danny is the very definition of a Wheatmore Warrior.
What makes Danny truly exceptional is his sense of purpose. Every school day, he’s doing something to invest in his future—whether it’s excelling in the classroom, building meaningful friendships, or applying to a wide range of colleges. And through it all, he never misses a chance to show appreciation to his teachers. For his final English research paper, Danny even wrote a six-page argument advocating for increased teacher pay.
Danny Craig is a young man who was raised right, lives with integrity, and absolutely deserves every good thing his future has in store.
