New Market Elementary Sparks Curiosity at STEM and Science Fair Night

On March 6, New Market Elementary transformed into a hub of discovery during its STEM and Science Fair Night. Fifth grade students showcased their impressive science fair projects in the gym. They presented across a wide array of topics and were eager to share their knowledge and learning as a result of going through the scientific process.

Throughout the school, various STEM challenges and engaging activities captivated students. No leprechaun magic was necessary to tackle challenges involving candy rainbows, fizzing kettle pots, and marshmallow catapults. The STEM lab also featured interactive stations where students explored with LEGOs and coding with Indi Cars.

The night was filled with valuable learning opportunities for all and families walked away with ideas for STEM challenges to try at home. Students left buzzing with excitement, eager to continue their exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
