THIS FRIDAY, January 31, Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve will host informational sessions for parents and students interested in new on-site classes offered in partnership with Randolph Community College (RCC) starting in the 2025-2026 school year. These programs aim to enhance career awareness and employability skills for students, offering the opportunity to earn industry-aligned certificates and credentials.
Floating Parent Information Session: 8:00-9:15 AM (Includes light breakfast)
Student Information Session (Grades 8-11): 9:30 AM
The new post-secondary programs available to students at Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve include:
Plumbing Continuing Education Credential
Picturing Light – Intro to Photography Certificate
Collision and Repair Technology Certificate
Students will be transported by RCSS to and from RCC during regular school hours, while other related coursework will be completed on the Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve campus. Students completing these programs will have the opportunity to graduate from RCC and gain industry-recognized certifications that can help them advance in their careers or further education.
Seats for these programs will be reserved for Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve students. To take advantage of free transportation to RCC, students must be enrolled at Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve.
