On Thursday, Exceptional Children's Director Brooke Johnston facilitated professional development for educators across the region for the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium (PTEC) "Unleashing the Powers of MTSS: A Multi-Tiered System for Student Success."
This professional development session focused on teaching educators how to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to benefit all students in their individual school. Participants learned core principles of MTSS, how to use data to personalize instruction, and how to create a collaborative problem-solving environment for educators. The session also showcased the ECATS Early Warning System, a powerful tool for identifying students at risk and ensuring their success. Regardless of participants experience level, this session encouraged equipping participants to create a school where all students can thrive.
